After explore the magical Thailand taking in the main sites of Bangkok, drive to picturesque Khao Yai National Park for an eco adventure. Swim in waterfalls, hike along jungle trails, visit ancient Khmer ruins, and go on a night safari with the Park Rangers. Venture to North West Thailand near the Myanmar border to embark on an eco-houseboat adventure around scores of un-spoilt islands in beautiful Khao Laem Lake, enjoying swimming, fishing, kayaking, rafting and elephant treks. Spend some days on Hua Hin beach – one of the most beautiful beaches in Thailand before returning to Bangkok.

PROGRAMME IN DETAILS

Highlights: After explore the magical Thailand taking in the main sites of Bangkok, drive to picturesque Khao Yai National Park for an eco adventure. Swim in waterfalls, hike along jungle trails, visit ancient Khmer ruins, and go on a night safari with the Park Rangers. Venture to North West Thailand near the Myanmar border to embark on an eco-houseboat adventure around scores of un-spoilt islands in beautiful Khao Laem Lake, enjoying swimming, fishing, kayaking, rafting and elephant treks. Spend some days on Hua Hin beach – one of the most beautiful beaches in Thailand before returning to Bangkok.

Day 1: Bangkok arrival (G)

On arrival at the airport, you will be met and transferred to hotel. The rest of the day will be your own for strolling the city. Your overnight stay will be in Bangkok.

Day 2: Bangkok City Tour (B, L, G)

After breakfast, you’ll begin your tour of Bangkok with a long tail boat ride along the Chao Phraya River to see many lively inner canals which provide some fantastic views of the local life. Along the way you will stop over at Wat Arun, the temple of dawn, before continuing to the Grand Palace which dedicated to the Thai Royal Family’s ceremonies. Nearby is the magnificent Wat Phra Kaew, which is famous for the Emerald Buddha Image. After seeing this complex, you will drive through the many vibrant streets of China Town to some of the most significant temples in Bangkok. The landmark of Wat Traimit is well known as the Golden Buddha Temple while Wat Pho houses a gigantic Reclining Buddha. You will spend the night in Bangkok.

Day 3: Bangkok/Khao Yai National Park (B, L, D, G in park)

After nreakfast, you’ll depart Bangkok by road to Khao Yai National Park where you will visit a beautiful waterfall for a swim – you may even be lucky enough to spot wild elephants that live here! The National Park features cliffs towering 1270m above sea level, providing magnificent views over Khao Yai. After dinner go on a night safari with the Park Rangers.

Day 4: Khao Yai/Korat (B, L, D, G in park)

Rise early and follow jungle trails for an easy three hour hike and catch the early morning hustle & bustle of macaques, playful antics of gibbons, and several subspecies of rare hornbills. Return 1000 years to the superbly restored Khmer Temples of Phnom Rung and its sister temple Muang Tham. On the way into Korat town stop at a pottery making village and try your hand at ‘throwing’ a pot.

Day 5: Korat/Khmer Temples/Bangkok (B, L, G in park)

After breakfast, you’ll visit Ban Prasat archaeological excavation site and one of the most famous Khmer ruins in Thailand at Phi Mai. Drive back to Bangkok after lunch and enjoy the evening exploring the city on your own.

Day 6: Bangkok/Kanchanburi/Khao Laem Lake Houseboat (B, L, D, G)

In the morning, you’ll drive to Kanchanburi and the infamous ‘Bridge over the River Kwai’. After lunch, you’ll continue to a lake-side village to board a traditional-style Thai houseboat. Spend the afternoon swimming, relaxing on deck or napping in a hammock as the houseboat slowly cruises the lake. Enjoy a delicious Thai dinner.

Day 7: Waterfall and Coconut Island (B, L, D, G)

After a hearty Western breakfast, you’ll go kayaking to the end of a small bay (or by motorboat). Take a short hike through the jungle to a waterfall for a swim and play (please note that there is no water in the waterfall from March-May), then head towards Coconut Island, one of few inhabited islands in this area. After exploring the island, you’ll return to the houseboat to relax and swim, then cruise to beautiful spot to anchor for the night.

Day 8: Caves, Elephants and Rafting (B, L, D, G)

After breakfast, you’ll go on a short kayak adventure into some small caves, then return to the houseboat and head north. In the afternoon, a long-tail boat will take you along a narrow river to a tribal village to embark on a jungle elephant trek, followed by rafting downstream. Dinner is onboard the houseboat under a starry night sky.

Day 9: Khoa Laem/Hua Hin Beach (B, L, D, G)

This morning, you’ll enjoy swimming, fishing and sunbathing. After say goodbye to the houseboat, you’ll transfer by motorboat to the village of Wang Kha, home to a number of ethnic minorities. Explore a picturesque temple and wander through a Burmese market selling crafts and jewelry. Continue to Sangklaburi via Thailand’s longest wooden bridge, where a vehicle is waiting to transfer you to Hua Hin for a relaxing beach break.

Day 10 ~ Day 12: Hua Hin Beach (B)

Enjoy the next three days at leisure relaxing on the beach and unwinding

Day 13: Hua Hin/Bangkok (B)

After breakfast, you’ll depart Hua Hin and return to Bangkok where transits for your departure flight.
