Day 1: Bangkok arrival (G)
On arrival at Suvanphumi Airport, you will be met and transferred to hotel. Your overnight stay will be in Bangkok.
Day 2: Bangkok City Tour (B, L, G)
After breakfast, you’ll begin your tour of Bangkok with a long tail boat ride along the Chao Phraya River to see many lively inner canals which provide some fantastic views of the local life. Along the way you will stop over at Wat Arun, the temple of dawn, before continuing to the Grand Palace which dedicated to the Thai Royal Family’s ceremonies. Nearby is the magnificent Wat Phra Kaew, which is famous for the Emerald Buddha Image. After seeing this complex, you will drive through the many vibrant streets of China Town to some of the most significant temples in Bangkok. The landmark of Wat Traimit is well known as the Golden Buddha Temple while Wat Pho houses a gigantic Reclining Buddha. You will spend the night in Bangkok.
Day 3: Cooking class (B, L, G in class)
In the breakfast, you’ll meet the chef and crew at the Longtail Bar at Bangkok Marriott Resort and Spa. You’ll board the Manohra Cruise to a local market where you will be shown a variety of fresh foods for sale. Some of the ingredients required for the cooking will be bought at the market. As you sail along the River of Kings, you will be served with a cold towel and iced lemongrass, the preparation of the food will begin. Each step will be explained and the nature of the ingredients will be described. The meal will be cooked and eaten step by step, an original way to learn Thai cooking. Overnight in Bangkok.
Day 4: Bangkok/Chiang Mai (B)
After breakfast, you’ll be free until a car will take you to the airport for a flight to Chiang Mai. On arrival at the airport, you will be met and transferred to hotel. The rest of the day will be your own for strolling the city. Your overnight stay will be in Chiang Mai.
Day 5: Cooking full day (B, L, G in class)
After breakfast, a driver will pick you up at your hotel and take you to Chiang Mai Thai Cookery School for a full day hands on cooking class. You’ll have a chance to Create your very own curry pastes using fresh ingredients with an expert chef to guide you every step of the way. Overnight in Chiang Mai.
Day 6: Chiang Mai/Doi Mae Salong (B, L, G)
In the morning, you’ll continue your adventure in Chiang Rai. Stop at Mae Krachan hot springs and Wat Rong Khun, also known as the White Temple before arriving in Chiang Rai. Overnight in Doi Mae Salong.
Day 7: Doi Mae Salong/Chiang Khong/Golden Triangle (B, L, G)
After breakfast, you’ll drive to Chiang Khong to visit a freshwater seaweed farm. You’ll explore the ancient Kingdom of Chiang Saen on the steep banks of Mekong River before continuing to the Golden Triangle. Overnight in Golden Triangle.
Day 8: Golden Triangle/Mae Sai/Chiang Rai/Bangkok (B, L, G)
In the morning, you’ll drive to Mae Sai, the bustling trading town at the northern-most border between Thailand and Burma before transferring to Chiang Rai Airport for a flight to Bangkok, where transits for your departure flight.
