Day 1: Bagan arrival (B, G)
Arriving at the airport, you’ll be met and driven to your hotel. The rest of the day will be your own. You’ll spend the night in Bagan.
Day 2: Bagan (B, L, G)
In the morning, you’ll visit Nyaung Oo Village market, Shwezigon Pagoda, the main religious center in Bagan, Gubyaukgyi Temple which is famous for the wall-painting of 13th century and Htilominlo Temple, one of the biggest double story buildings.
Afternoon lunch, you’ll continue to visit Ananda Temple (the finest and the most venerated temple in Bagan), Dhammayangyi (the biggest temple), Lacquerware Factory and enjoy the beautiful sunset at Shwesandaw Pagoda. Overnight at the hotel in Bagan.
Day 3: Bagan/Mindat (B, L, D, G)
After breakfast at hotel, about 5hrs drive to Mindat (4860 ft above sea leavel). Mindat is the administrative town for Southern Chin State. On the way, you can visit Pakokku which is a famous town, Kamma a small market town, Pauk – where we stop for lunch, Kyauk Htu, Kangyi where we can see very beautiful wooden houses. And then you will arrive at Mindat around 4pm. You take a rest for an hour and take a work in quite charming town. Stay at local guest-house.
Day 4: Mindat/Kya Do/Aye camp (B, L, D, G)
After breakfast, you’ll proceed by jeep or pajero to Che Chaung (about 45 minutes). This is the place where you start trekking in the mountain to see the daily life of remote tribe (Chin tribe woman) with different patterns of tattoo on the face an attractive amber necklaces, houses with animal skull and sacrificial posts. And keep hiking through the valley and uphill passing through farm landed to get back to the car and drive to Aye camp, dinner and overnight at local house.
Day 5: Aye camp/Victoria summit/Kanpatlet (B, L, D, G)
After breakfast, hiking to Mt. Victoria (105000 ft) the highest mountain in that area stand amid a 279 sq-mile national park, an area of great bio-diversity with many rare forms of flora and fauna and is a prime spot for bird watching. Need your driver at 10th mile post proceed down road towards Kanpatlet (approx: 1hr). Dinner and overnight at local guest-house.
Day 6: Kanpatlet (B, L, D, G)
Day return trekking to Chin settlement villages in the area. One hour walk to Oak-po and Kant-thar-yone villages to see the Chin tribe woman wearing various pattern of tattoo on their faces. Keep walking to Ma-kyauk-ar and Saw-laung villages to see their ways of life. In the late afternoon, you can walk in Kanpatlet, a small little town (5200 ft) which is the originally build by British however later moved to lower altitude at 4560 ft to cope up with fierce winter cold. Thus there has been only and old British built bungalow and two new resorts exist.
Day 7: Kanpatlet/Bagan (B, L, G)
In the early morning, you’ll drive back to Bagan. 6hr ride back to Bagan from Kanpatlet. You can enjoy the sunset in Bagan. Overnight in Bagan.
Day 8: Bagan departure (B, G)
After breakfast, you’ll be free until your driver arrives to take you to the airport for your departure flight.
