Highlights: Stick your eyes at the breathtaking mountainous scenery on the way to Ba Be National Park. Have a boat cruise around the “three lakes”, see quite sight worthy caves and crashing waterfall. Call at the Pac Bo grotto where President Ho presided over many important meetings to discuss ways to bring the Vietnamese revolution to final victory. Enjoy the traditional Quan Ho music performed by “living heritage”. Visit local families in the village having the tradition of producing pearl-inlaid-furniture. The tour is a fabulous combination of sightseeing and traditional value exploration.

PROGRAMME IN DETAILS

Destination: Hanoi – Ba Be – Cao Bang – Lang Son – Bac Ninh

Day 1: Arrival at Hanoi (D, G)

Upon arrival at Noi Bai airport, our guide will greet and accompany you to your hotel. Free time until you’ll be picked up to watch water puppet performance, a traditional art form closely connected with the long-standing spiritual life of the Vietnamese people. You?ll then be driven to a good local restaurant and enjoy a welcome dinner with us. Your overnight stay will be in Hanoi.

 

Day 2: Hanoi/Ba Be (B, L, D, G)

After breakfast, you’ll be picked up and driven 240km to Ba Be National Park. Your lunch will be served at local restaurant on the way.

After lunch, you?ll continue on the road through striking mountain scenery to Ba Be National Park. On arrival, you’ll do the check-in at your hotel in the park centre. The rest day, you will be free to stroll in the crisp forest air, a short leisurely walk in the park around and enjoy a sunset before dinner. You?ll spend the night in Ba Be National Park.

 

Day 3: Ba Be (B, L, D, G)

After a breakfast at your hotel, you’ll have a boat cruise by motorboat around the Ba Be Lake which was known as Pe Lam, Pe Lu, Pe Leng. These words are following the Tay ethnic language with the meaning of “three lake”. You’ll have a chance to visit Puong Cave and then the Fairy Pond, set in dense forest with many birds. You’ll continue your boat cruise to visit Dau Dang Water Fall that is quite sight worthy and have picnic lunch on the way.

After lunch, you’ll come back to the motorboat to visit Horse Saddle Mountain. Your day will be finished by taking a short walk to the village of Tay people near by.

You’ll spend the night in Ba Be.

 

Day 4: Ba Be/Cao Bang (B, L, G)

After breakfast, you?ll be picked up and transferred to Cao Bang- a province in the northern highlands, shares borders with China. On the way, you’ll stop to visit Pac Po grotto, where Ho Chi Minh returned on February 1941 after 30 years of living abroad in search of a way to liberate the country. Your lunch will be served at the local restaurant.

In the afternoon, you’ll be driven to visit some of the ethnic group near the town to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Mountainous scenery.

You’ll spend the night in Cao Bang.

 

Day 5: Cao Bang/Lang Son (B, L, G)

In the morning, you’ll enjoy the beautiful scenic pass of Ma Phuc and then be picked up to travel to Lang Son. Your lunch will be served at local restaurant.

After lunch, you would have a short city tour to the market of Dong Kinh, Tam Thanh grotto and legendary rock formation named “Wife waiting for husband”.

You’ll spend the night in Lang Son.

 

Day 6: Lang Son/Hanoi (B, L, G)

After breakfast, you?ll be driven to Hanoi. On the way, you?ll stop at  Bac Ninh, you’ll take a visit  to a traditional village in the North of Vietnam and enjoy its traditional Quan Ho music performed by villagers in the commune house. The singers have recently been officially designated as part of Vietnam’s “living heritage”.  You?ll have lunch at local restaurant

In the afternoon, you’ll visit Dong Ky village where most of the local families produce furniture inlaid with mother of pearl. It?s a good example of how the villagers work co-operatively on different stages of the manufacturing process. You’ll then return to Hanoi for your overnight accommodation.

 

Day 7: Hanoi departure (B)

After breakfast, you’ll be free until your driver arrives to take you to Noi Bai airport for your departure flight.

  •         Travel by private, air-conditioned vehicle with an experienced, safe driver.
  •         The services of experienced English-speaking guides as indicated in the itinerary
  •         Where necessary, entry fees for all visits as mentioned in the programme.
  •         Lunches and dinners, as specified, in the best local restaurants.
