Feast your eyes on all of the wonders in Thailand, Myanmar and Cambodia during 15 day tour. Many remarkable temples and gallant pagodas are waiting for your exploration

Bangkok, the bustling capital city of Thailand will be the first stop of the trip where you will be immersed in many temples. Transferring to Myanmar to visit the main sights in Yangon, Inle Lake, Mandalay and Bagan. Especially, an overnight cruise from Mandalay to Bagan will give you a different experience.

A two week trip in Southeast Asia will be ended in Cambodia by visiting Siem Reap and Phnom Penh where you will explore the wondrous ancient ruins, jungle cover temples, colonial buildings.

Day 1: Bangkok arrival (G)

Upon arrival, met and transferred to your hotel for check in. Then, you’ll be free. Overnight stay will be in Bangkok.

 

Day 2: Bangkok (B, L, G)

After breakfast at the hotel. Sightseeing tour of Bangkok’s highlight including a visit to Wat Benchamaborphit known as The Marble Temple. Proceed to Wat Po or Reclining Buddha Temple to witness its huge of the Buddha image in the site, tour also visit to Thai traditional massage school. Continue for the remarkable Grand Palace and the Temple of Emerald Buddha. Lunch served at restaurant by the riverside. After lunch proceed onto canals tour by boat and shopping for the rest of the day

 

Day 3: Bangkok/Yangon (B, G)

Breakfast at your hotel, transfer to the airport for your flight to Yangon. Welcome at the airport. Transfer and check in at the hotel. Visit the National Museum-04 storey building which displays all about Myanmar, mainly the Lion Throne of the last king of Myanmar, who exiled to India in 1886, the Botahtaung Pagoda-the combination of stupa & temple, the colonial area, the Sule Pagoda-the landmark of Yangon city Centre, which has been enshrined the hair relic of Buddha, the Chaukhtatgyi Reclining Buddha Image-70 meters long and huge colossal image. Finally, visit the Shwedagon Pagoda-one of the wonders of the world where we can observe the ways of life of Buddhists such as offering the water, candles, flowers, etc. Overnight in Yangon.

 

Day 4: Yangon/Heho/Inle Lake (B, G)

After early breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport for the flight to Heho. Board a private motorboat to head out to Inle Lake, pass villages built on stilts over the lake, inhabited by the local Intha people. Observe the leg-rowing fishermen and see their floating gardens. Visit Nga Hpe Chaung Monastery, which houses dozens of Shan Buddha Images, but is more famous for its unique ‘jumping cats’. Oo Pagoda, the lake’s main sanctuary, which contains five sacred Buddha images covered in gold leaf. Explore the local crafts of Inle Lake with a stop at the weaving village of Inpawkhone and a cheroot factory, where the typical Burmese cigars are made by hand. Overnight on Inle Lake

 

Day 5: Inle Lake/In Dein/Inle Lake (B, L, G)

Visit the lake’s morning market. The market rotates its location around the lake’s villages in a 5 day rhythm and is visited by lake inhabitants and surrounding hill tribes who come to sell and trade their wares.  From the middle of the lake, continue down a small canal leading to the Pa-oh village of In Dein.  Explore the area on foot, strolling around the village, visiting a local school, and wander through the beautiful Alaung Sitthou area. After enjoying your visit to In Dein, return to your boat. Continue along the lake for additional sightseeing before returning to your hotel this afternoon. Overnight Inle Lake

 

Day 6: Inle Lake/Heho/Mandalay (B, L, G)

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and morning around the Inle Lake before transferring to the Heho Airport this afternoon. After the 1.5 hour flight to Mandalay, you will be transferred to your hotel (approximately 1 hour drive) Mandalay is the cultural center of Myanmar and its skilled craftsmen once supplied the Royal Court. After relaxing and freshening up at your hotel, drive to Mandalay Hill to watch the sun set over the city and the Irrawaddy River. Overnight in Mandalay

 

Day 7: Mandalay/RV Pandaw (B, L , G)

Mid morning, you will be transfer to jetty to board on RV Pandaw for your one night cruise down to ancient Bagan. At 1200 depart Mandalay and lunch on board. Cruise all day and overnight on board.

 

Day 8: Bagan arrival (B, L, G)

After breakfast, explore Thein Gone village. Thein Gone is a typical river community in which all people are cared for within the community. There is a pleasant Buddhist monastery with 5 monks and over 25 monastery boys, borders from the outlying areas receiving free education and care from the monks. In addition there is a state-run village school with 4 teachers, but they commute from nearby Pakokku. The Thein Gone people are very friendly and welcoming. Mid morning, arrive Bagan and transfer to Hotel in Bagan. In the afternoon, we will visit the most impressive temples of Bagan browsing among the lot. Overnight at the hotel in Bagan.

 

Day 9: Bagan/Mt. Popa (B, L, G)

This morning, we will be watching sunrise over Bagan (optional) and back to hotel for breakfast. After breakfast at hotel, we head to Mt. Popa about 48 km south east of Bagan. Mt. Popa, known as the abode of Nats (spirits) – a collection of 37 magical spirits both feared and honoured by some Myanmar people and the nat museum, which houses 37 life-size nat statues sculpted from teak. It’s time to climb for 777 steps to the summit. Proceed to Popa Mountain Resort ( 1hr drive ) for our lunch. The restaurant offer a great view to the Popa summit that stands straight from the central plain. After lunch, return drive back to Bagan. On the way back, enroute stop at village cottage industry to learn the regional product as well as to watch the collection of juice from the palm trees, and its conversion to brown sugar. Overnight at the hotel in Bagan.

 

Day 10: Bagan/Yangon (B, L, G)

After breakfast at hotel, transfer to Nyaung U airport for your flight to Yangon. Upon arrival check in to your hotel to drop off your luggage. We will continue by car to Karaweik, a royal barge for fantastic photo shot along the “pilgrims” causeway across the Royal Lake with stunning views of Schwedagon Pagoda and Chaukhtutgyi pagoda, a huge reclining Buddha image. After lunch, we plan to visit the Bogyoke Aung San Market (Scott Market) for souvenir shopping. Overnight at the hotel in Yangon.

 

Day 11: Yangon/Bangkok/Siem Reap (B, L, G)

Your time will be your own until transfer to the airport for your flight to Bangkok connecting to the flight ot Siem Reap.

On arrival, met and transferred to your hotel for check in. Then, you’ll be free. You’ll spend the night in Siem Reap.

 

Day 12: Siem Reap (B, L, G)

The sightseeing tour of Angkor area we spend a full day exploring the wondrous ancient ruins with the South Gate of Angkor Thom, which is famous for its series of colossal human faces carved in stone, the impressive Bayon Temple, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King and the largest as well as the most complete temple of Angkor Wat. This architectural masterpiece was constructed in the 12th century and covers an area of about 210 hectares. We stroll around this massive edifice, seeing the many galleries with colums, libraries, pavilions, courtyards and ponds full of water reflecting the towering temple. Overnight in Siem Reap

 

Day 13: Siem Reap (B, L, G)

Breakfast at hotel.The jungle covered temple of Ta Prohm is an incredible sight. There are enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers which embrace themselves in the stone foundations of the structure giving the impression of man’s creation being reclaimed by the powerful forces of nature. We explore this masterpiece as well as some of the surrounding temples including Banteay Kdei, Sra Srong, Ta Keo, Thommanon and Chau Say Tevado. The grand circuit with Preah Khan, Kravan, Neak Pean, Krol Ko, Ta Som, East Mebon and Pre Rup Temples, is also visited this afternoon before we walk up to Phnom Bakheng Hill for a view of the spectacular sunset over these sandstone monuments. Overnight in Siem Reap

 

Day 14: Siem Reap/Phnom Penh (B, L, G)

Breakfast at hotel, Heading out of town we make our way by traveling on a newly paved road to the intricately carved and well preserved temple of Banteay Srei. Along the way we make stopover at the Preah Dark village and we follow these with a visit the Banteay Samre Temple adorned with impressive relief’s depicting scenes of Vishunu as well as Krishna legends. This afternoon, you will be transfer to Phnom Penh via a short flight. Upon arrival, pick up and transfer to the hotel check in. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in Phnom Penh

 

Day 15: Phnom Penh departure (B, G)

Breakfast at the hotel. This morning, you will start your visit to the Victory Monument, and the National Museum, also called Musee des Beaux-Arts. A French archaeologist and painter, Georges Groslier, designed it in Khmer style in 1917. The museum contains a collection of Khmer art – notably sculptures – from throughout the ages. Visit the Royal Palace, built by King Norodom in 1866 on the site of the old town, and the Silver Pagoda. Located within the grounds of the Royal Palace, the Silver Pagoda is so named because of its floor, which is made up of 5000 silver tiles. The treasures found inside include a solid gold Buddha encrusted and weighing 90kilograms and a small 17th century emerald and baccarat crystal Buddha. End your afternoon with the visit of the Toul Sleng Prison (also known as S21). Later on you will transfer to the Phnom Penh international airport for the flight the next destination.
