    Your next destinations will be Banteay Chhmar Remaining – one of the most important yet least understood archaeological complexes from Angkorien time, Battambang, Phnom Penh and Koh Kong.

    PROGRAMME IN DETAILS

    Destination: Siem Reap/Banteay Chhmar/Battambang/Phnom Penh/Koh Kong

    Description: Most people choose to start their Cambodia tours with Siem Reap, which as you can see is a quite understandable and enjoyable start destination once you land in this magical city. Your next destinations will be Banteay Chhmar Remaining – one of the most important yet least understood archaeological complexes from Angkorien time, Battambang, Phnom Penh and Koh Kong.

    Day 1: Siem Reap (G)

    On arrival at the airport, you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel for check in. You’ll then be free to do what you wish. Stay overnight in Siem Reap.

    Day 2: Siem Reap (B, L, G)

    After breakfast, we will drive out of town to visit to the ancient capital of Angkor Thom dating back to 12th century. In Angkor Thom, we will visit the South Gate, the Bayon Temple, the Phimeanakas, the Royal Enclosure, the Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. Have lunch in a nearby restaurant.

    In the afternoon, we will visit Angkor Wat, famous for its beauty and splendor to all the Cambodia tour makers. Later, we will visit Bakheng Temple enjoying a romantic sun set view form Bakheng Hill. And then we will drive back to Siem Reap before dusk.

    Stay overnight in Siem Reap.

    Day 3: Siem Reap (B, L, G)

    This morning, we will visit Banteay Srei, aka Queen City and Banteay Samre, putting a perfect ending to your Cambodia tours. Have lunch in a local restaurant.

    In the afternoon, our steps reach out to Ta Prohm, one of the area’s most beautiful temples. Neak Pean, a fountain built in the middle of a pool, Ta Som, built in late 12th century C.E. the most distant temple on the grand circuit, small but classic. Preah Khan Temple, built by King Jayavarman VII. We will also visit the unique interior brick sculptures of Prasat Kravan, Srah Srang, Banteay Kdei (surrounded by 4 concentric walls) and Ta Keo, constructed in late 10th early 11th century. Finish today’s Cambodia tour with a beautiful sunset on the way back to Siem Reap downtown.

    Day 4: Siem Reap (B, L, G)

    The idyllic picture of Siem Reap, though less marvellous as Angkor Ruins, is considered as another piece of Cambodia tours’ treasure. Today, we will take a horse-riding trip of one hour around Siem Reap. Have lunch in a local restaurant.

    In the afternoon, we will take a boat trip in Tonle Sap Lake to the floating village, which, interesting enough, is a completed community with markets, hospitals, schools and everything a community needs. Later, we will go to Puok National Silk Center to get fascinated by the artful performance at the looms. We will be back to your hotel before dusk.

    At night, you’ll be taken for a dinner show of Apsara dance, which is crowned to the west as Khmer Ballet, a real eye treat for your Cambodia tours.

    Stay overnight in Siem Reap.

    Day 5: Siem Reap/Banteay Chhmar (B, L, G)

    Today, we will leave Siem Reap and head westwards to Banteay Chhmar. Check in a local’s house unpon arrival, you will be warmly welcome by these humble dwellers. Take a short break, and then we will visit the icon site of the region: Banteay Chhmar Temple. Clambering over piles of stones, you will discover the remains of intricate carvings, which leave many a scholars with unsolved mysteries.Have lunch in a local restaurant.

    In the afternoon, we will take an interesting ox-cart ride around the rural villages of Banteay Chhmar. The other side of live is being revealed by yourself, which is a highlight for your Cambodia holiday, isn’t it?

    Day 6: Banteay Chhmar/Battambang (B, L, G)

    Today, we will leave Banteay Chhmar to Battambang. Check in upon arrival. Have lunch in a local restaurant and take a relaxing break afterwards.

    In the afternoon, we will get on a bamboo train to ride around the countryside. Bamboo train? That sounds strange? Yes it is strange yet fun! The bamboo train has been set up by the villagers to facilitate the transportation of goods and people. The train in itself is very basic – one platform on 4 wheels activated by a small motor. Sitting on the platform we travel the 8km to the next station through beautiful landscape and rice paddies. We will be back to your hotel before dusk.

    Stay overnight in Battambang.

    Day 7: Battambang (B, L, G)

    Today we will spend our Cambodia tour fun day visiting some cottage industries including rice paper mills, weaving center, grape farm and brewhouse, in which you are welcome to give a try. Have lunch in a local restaurant.

    In the afternoon, we will visit a mountaintop Angkorian temple of Phnom Banan. A panaromic view of the whole city drops your jaw at the astonishingly wonderful landscape.

    Stay overnight in Battambang.

    Day 8: Battambang/Phnom Penh (B, L, G)

    Have breakfast in the your hotel, and then we will pay a morning visit to the nearby villages of Kompong Chhang, Kompong Loung and Phnom Oudong. Have lunch in a local restaurant.

    In the afternoon, we will drive to Phnom Penh (291Km). Check in upon arrival, have some free time in the city.

    Day 9: Phnom Penh (B, L, G)

    Today’s your chance to learn more about this amazing city and its mind-provoking history. Today we will travel a little bit further from Phnom Penh. Enjoy the landscape on our way to Kampong Thom. Wandering around in some local villages to encounter different lifestyles, later you will find yourself immersed in the idyllically peaceful life. Make short visit to Kuk Hak Nokor for pagodas and alike,plus a photo-taking chance over Spean Kompong Kdei the Dragon Bridge. Have lunch in a local restaurant.

    In the afternoon, we will pay a visit to the infamous Killing Fields of Choeung Ek. Prisoners from Tuol Sleng followed this same route to their fate. Despite the horrors of the past, it is a peaceful place to go and a tranquil spot to reflect on the tragic events that engulfed Cambodia and its people.

    Stay overnight in Phnom Penh.

    Day 10: Phnom Penh/Koh Kong (B, L, G)

    In the morning, we will leave Phnom Penh for Koh Kong by road. The 5-hour drive brings in fresh air and rural oveliness all the way. Check in upon arrival. Relax for the rest of your day.

    Day 11: Koh Kong (B, L, G)

    Known to the outsiders as the ‘Wild West’ froniter town, Koh Kong has this reputation well earned for the various attractions it holds. Today, we will take a boat trip passing Ta Tai Village all the way to the beautiful Ta Tai Waterfall. Legend has it that once a boy was saved by a hermit, and the son’s father named the waterfall after the hermit in honor and appreciation. Have lunch in a nearby restaurant.

    In the afternoon, we will trek in the woods seeking for reraly-seen wildlife, making it an adventure-full day for your Cambodia tours! We will be back to your hotel before sunset.

    Stay overnight in Koh Kong.

    Day 12: Koh Kong (B, L, G)

    Today we will go kayaking in Cardamom Wilderness! Koh Kong’s pioneering community-based ecotourism has gone a long way for Cambodia tours’ fans, and trekking and kayaking in the wilderness are definitely the highlights to Cambodia tour makers. Have lunch in a nearby restaurant.

    In the afternoon, we will be back to your hotel. Relax yourself from the exciting day.

    Stay overnight in Koh Kong.

    Day 13: Koh Kong/Phnom Penh (B, L, G)

    Packing up the fun experience and precious memory Koh Kong gave you, we will head back to Phnom Penh.

    Check in and then free at leisure for the rest of your day.

    Day 14: Phnom Penh departure (B, G)

    Your time will be your own until the driver comes and takes you to the airport for your departure flight!
