Description: Being the second largest National Park in Thailand, Khao Yai has within its boundaries many thick, flourishing forests, and a plentiful supply of wildlife, such as families of Gaurs, Elephants, Tigers, Gibbons, Deer, and wild pigs, etc. Beside that, with over 300 species of resident and migratory birds, Khao Yai National Park is a good place for those who are keen on birdwatching!

Day 1: Bangkok/Khao Yai National Park (L, D, G)
Pick up at your hotel at around 06.00 for the 2-hours drive to Khao Yai National Park. Breakfast enroute before heading out to Khao Khieo mountain, an area dominated by hill evergreen forest above1,000 m. After lunch, set out on a roadside birding tour in the area of the headquarters and take a short easy walk through the grassland habitat of Nong Phak Chi for birding and on the lookout for some of the other wildllife that inhabits the park. Possible sightings include Wild Dog, Sambar Deer, Stock billed-Kingfisher, Bright-capped Cisticola, Hill Myna and Wreathed Hornbill. After dinner, we head out on a nighttime spotlighting trip on the look out for deer, civet, porcupine, slow loris and possibly elephant.

Day 2: Khao Yai Natonal Park (B, L, D, G)
Spend the morning birding in some of Khao Yai’s best evergreen forest. Look out for Red-headed Trogon, Slaty-backed Forktail, Blue Pitta, Greater Flameback, Dusky Broadbill, Banded Broadbill, Blue-winged Leafbird, Green Magpie, White-crested Laughingthrush and many more. Reach the bats cave where you will see miilions of bats along with the raptors.Back to your resort around 19.00pm
Day 3: Khao Yai National Park/Bangkok (B, L, G)
Early morning birding around the Hotel, You”ll see Red-breasted Parakeet, Asian Barred Owlet, Lineated Barbet, Verditer Flycatcher and other birds. You’ll then drive up to Dong Tiw, to explore Plue Pitta, Laced Woodpecker, Silver Pheasant, Red-headed Trogon, Orange-breasted Trogon, Heart-spotted Woodpecker and other birds. Drive up to Pha Diew Dai and Khao Kiew Summit. Your lunch will be served at Pha Kluay Mai.
In the afternoon, you’ll start birding at Dr. Boonsong camp site,You’ll see Banded Kingfisher,Orange-breasted,Red-headed Trogon,Banded,Long-tailrd Broadbill,Orange-headed Thrush,Black-throated Sunbird,Blue-bearded Bee-eater,Brown,Great,Oriental Pied Hornbill,Siberian Blue Robin,and many more,and than walk throught the trail near Park office to explore other bird species.
In the late afternoon, transfer back to Bangkok for your overnight stay
