<\/p>This is the second time that I have visited Laos, a neighboring country of Vietnam. I usually go travelling by road and have never gone by motorbike yet. Travelling by motorbike is more economical.\n

Bellows are my tips, experiences and notes that may of help for those who plan to visit Lao some days.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you decide to depart from Hanoi, you can buy ticket at Nuoc Ngam coach station. The ticket price is 500 thousand dong and does not include foods. You will cross Cau Treo border checkpoint located in Huong Son, Ha Tinh to make for a coach station in ViengTiane, Laos.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tips for backpacking in Laos in 2016<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

If you decide to depart from Danang, the ticket price is 650 thousand dong. You will cross Lao Bao border checkpoint located in Quang Tri to make for ViengTiane coach station. You don\u2019t have to worry about language barrier as there are a lot of Vietnamese people whom you can ask for help.<\/span><\/p>\n

When we went to Phat Tich temple, the taxi driver charged us 100 kips as we could not speak Laos language and he could speak a \u00a0little English. \u00a0Then a monk of the temple interpreted for us. In the end, the monk had to pay for us as he knew that we did not have much money.<\/span><\/p>\n

You should make a deal with the taxi driver before getting on taxi and pay after you have reached your desired destination. <\/span><\/p>\n

We just stayed in the temple one night so we do not have many experiences in accommodation to share with you.<\/span><\/p>\n

After having dinner and drinking a glass of tea with the monks of the temple, we said thanks to them and went to find ATM. As it was weekend then, the roads were not too crowded. Then we entered a coffee shop where we could search information online. My friend,Dani, wanted to visit \u201cVangvieng\u201d. \u00a0So we walked to find a bus stop. The bus ticket to Vangvieng was 500 kip per person<\/span><\/p>\n

It took much time for the bus to get Vangvieng. Therefore, If you get car sick, you should bring some drugs.<\/span><\/p>\n

When we reached Vangvieng, we found a place where there was wifi and goo view. We stayed at Sisavang guesthouse and the cost was 100 kip per night. It was equipped with air conditioner. We had bread for dinner and the bread cost 10 kip<\/span><\/p>\n

I find that foods are sold at the same price everywhere especially sandwiche.<\/span><\/p>\n
