<\/p>Immigration and Checkpoints Authority of Singapore (ICA) has made it clear why a Vietnamese girl had to pay for many charges while waiting for backing Vietnam after being denied to immigrate to Singapore.\n

They explained on Today newspaper on 31<\/span>st<\/span> October about the case of Nguyen Thanh Thuy, a Vietnamese who were denied to immigrate to Singapore in the end of October. She studied at a first-class university of Singapore under a scholarship of Singapore\u2019s Foreign Office, came, and left Singapore many times before. This case can be seen as a basis for familiar case. <\/span><\/p>\n

She posted on her facebook that: \u201c12 awful hours \u2013 being denied to immigrate by Singapre\u201d. She had to spend her night in a detention room of Changi airport, and her luggage was captured.<\/span><\/p>\n

Employees at airports often allow people to immigrate after their fingerprints are scanned, documents are show fully, and they are interviewd some questions. However, to her case, she stated that she had been detained for nearly 12 hours without any request for any documents. After that, she had to pay 104 SG\u0110 for 2 hours of using the bed in the detention room, and 50 \u2013 100 SG\u0110 for being escorted by policeman. <\/span><\/p>\n

She said that she and 4 other female travellers had to sign a document which said that they don\u2019t have enough money to par for services. It means that airlines will not be reponsible for any incurring fees. <\/span><\/p>\n

When interviewed, ICA answered that it is not their responsibilities, and if a traveller is denied to immigrate, airlines will be responsible for his (or her) backing home. Employees of airlines will provide them a place to stay at The room for passengers denied entry. According International Civil Aviation Organization, it is advised that airlines can not charge passengers of fees for movement and accommodation. <\/span><\/p>\n

In the interview through telephone, Thuy was nervous about the lack of transparency when they took passengers to their country. <\/span><\/p>\n

ICA also emphasizes that traveller immigrating for visiting somebody can not take part in any work or business without permit from concerning agencies. <\/span><\/p>\n

Thuy stated that she will require her company to show for the next time of immigration.<\/span><\/p>\n
